Agria at Crufts 2020

What an amazing time we had at Crufts 2020! So much happened over the four days – these are some of our favourite moments…

Thursday – Toy and Utility Day

We had some great visitors to the stand on Thursday, including the gorgeous Trumpington Spuffle, from Therapy Dogs Nationwide:

It was great to see the first set of the Breed Rescues (different rescues were represented each day) which we were really proud to support at Crufts. This is Gizmo from Labrador South East and Central, one of our Rehoming partners, with Rehoming Partner Manager, Mark.

Friday - Gundog Day

A really busy day! We were delighted to present a donation to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust's Bill King for over £86,000. This brings the total amount donated to the KCCT to over £750,000, to support their work on canine diseases and helping welfare and charities. This year’s donation has been directed to The Veterinary Companion Animal Surveillance System (VetCompassTM), a not-for-profit initiative that collects and merges clinical veterinary data for investigation to benefit the long-term health and welfare of animals.

Winning our daily Rehoming Golden Ticket draw was Spanish Water Dog Rescue, seen here with the very lovely Dali! Karen and Mark from our Rehoming team presented their prize.

We were thrilled to sponsor the eagerly-awaited Breeders' Competition on Friday evening. Every competing team were members of the Agria Breeder Club, with the winners this stunning team of Lhasa Apsos, presented with their prize by Agria's Sarah White. Well done!

Saturday - Working and Pastoral Day

Saturday at Crufts is always busy and this one was no exception! We loved meeting six-year-old agility competitor Izzy with Milo! Izzy is so good that she competes against adults and is something of a celebrity at Crufts!

Dash, the Swedish Vallhund, came to visit and made us all smile with his very happy face - fitting in perfectly with our dental care theme on the stand!

Valgrays Border Collie Rescue won our Rehoming Golden Ticket Daily draw - presented here by Mark, who also spent every evening stewarding in the Main Arena in his other role with the KC as a Crufts Group Steward.

Sunday - Terrier and Hound Day and Best in Show final

Day four came around all too quickly, but there was so much still going on! As it was also International Women's Day, we had some fun celebrating the female contingent on the stand!

Tom, Head of Marketing, had a great chat with this fantastic Husky - which gave us the perfect chance to finally get him on camera!

Mark competed with his fabulous Beagle, Quincy, and came 5th in his class! Well done!

Sarah competed with her Borzois and came an incredible 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in her classes!!! Congratulations!

Mark Abraham, founder of Pup Aid, Lucy's Law and animal welfare campaigner popped over to chat to the team and meet stand mascot, the gorgeous Tinkerbell, with Karen her minder!

And finally, the £250 Golden Ticket rehoming draw took place - and the winners were.... Collie Rescue (Rough and Smooth)!

Crufts 2020 - we had the best time - and now need to sleep....
