Agria at Crufts 2022 - our favourite moments
Crufts 2022 was incredible. After a year without the world’s greatest dog show, we were so excited for it to be back - and it was even better than we could have imagined!
We the best time at Crufts this year, and so we wanted to share some of our favourite memories...
In our Rehoming prize draw, each day of the show, a dog rescue won £50, with a final winning rescue receiving £250! We were thrilled to donate £450 between:
United Gordon Setter Rehoming and Support
The incredible Otter Hounds were the best at the end of a long first day.
They were so lovely, and left us wondering how on earth they can be on the endangered breed list?
As ever, we were so excited for Sarah White, our Breeder Channel Manager, as she set off for her day competing with her incredible Borzois!
Of course, she did incredibly well and achieved:
1st Puppy Dog, Best Puppy Dog and Best Puppy in breed, Mischran the Witcher (Pet name Witcher) handled by Sarah's mum, Angie Baker
1st Junior Dog with Mischran Malachi (Cai),
Limit Dog 5th Mischran Luther (Luther),
Puppy Bitch, 1st with Mischran Lagatha (Aggy),
2nd Mischran Ciri (Ciri) handled by Angie,
3rd Mischran Calanthe (Cali) owned and handled by Karen Webb.
Junior Bitch 3rd Mischran Elvina (Ella)
Post Graduate Bitch - 3rd Mischran Hinterland (Amber) handled and owned by Ros Webb.
11 we bred by Sarah and her mum were entered in total, although a total of 17 we bred were qualified! We're exhausted just reading this, but we're so proud of you Sarah!
We loved hanging out with Garry and Poppy from Service Dogs UK, which was a very special part of the event for us. Poppy is just the best and totally stole our hearts!
Here they are with Janet from our Senior Team. We're so glad that Service Dogs UK are one of our assistance dog partners, and taking part in our new campaign, Pup to Old Age Pup (OAP)! This is a very exciting campaign that's giving us a chance to highlight the incredible work that assistance dogs do throughout their whole lives. And having representatives from some of the organisations taking part join us on our stand was such a moment - such a collection of talented, hardworking and all-round incredible dogs.
We are thrilled that all of these organisations are taking part!
Our donation of £88,412 to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust brings the total amount we have donated to this fantastic charity to over £900,000!
This year, we decided a dog-friendly cake would go down well - and it did! This is Vicki, our Managing Director, with Rose Smart and Jenifer Millard from the KCCT - together with Poppy... who really enjoyed eating the cake!
Odin and Atlas, seen here with Morgan, were so beautiful and incredible to meet! They work with Therapy Dogs Nationwide, and cheer up patients in hospitals and care homes with their visits.
Theo, Hector, and Castor are all insured with us, and they popped by to say hello just before dashing off to take part in the Good Citizen demonstration! They were gorgeous and so well-behaved - no wonder they are representing the Good Citizens Award!
It was great to catch up with Claire Brand, Rowena Parker and Dan O'Neill (and baby Parker!) seen here with Janet. They are leading figures in the veterinary science world, and we are delighted to work with them.
Sunday came along all too quickly - but we had a blast meeting some fantastic German Shorthaired Pointers.
And of course, we just loved being there as the fabulous Baxer - Best in Show, was crowned!
WE CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!
Thank you to everyone who came over for a chat, took out a new policy with us, shared their news - and most importantly, let us have a cuddle with their dog!
