Can dogs get Covid?
Understandably, dog owners may be concerned about COVID-19 and the effect it could have on their pets. So, can dogs even get Covid?
According to www.gov.co.uk:
'COVID-19 is spread between humans. There is limited evidence that some animals, including pets, can become infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) following close contact with infected humans.'
Thankfully, it is rare, and dogs tend only to show mild clinical signs, recovering after a few days.
